Co-owns the award-winning Manchester vintage boutique Rags to Bitches with her husband, Simon Buckley. They sell vintage and vintage-inspired clothing and have their own dressmaking studio in the basement, where bespoke services, and RTB's own label are based. They also run dressmaking courses.
Flic is also a freelance journalist, who has written for most of the major magazines and newspapers in the UK. She writes about trends, fashion, relationships, and popular culture and is currently agony aunt for Company and Scarlet magazines. She appears regularly on TV & radio, and has written five books. She has two teenage children.

In fashion retail, no one can afford to stand still, even for a second. Anyone who does will find themselves out of the game and on the sub's bench before they've noticed what's happened.
Certain holiday destinations lend themselves perfectly to independent boutiques. The yummy-mummy hotspots of Cornwall, say, or the palm-fringed Playas of Marbella.
You could argue that a clothing retailer asking customers to make their own clothes is like a butcher suggesting that the queue marks up a live cow and starts chopping.
