New Zealand-based Jenna Wilkins' passion lies in accessory and evening wear design and manufacturing, particularly draping. Her own success in fashion design began at high school, where she studied design and sewing, competing in and receiving placings in Young Designer competitions.
Since then she has trained and worked as a primary school teacher. Along the way, she's also studied pattern making and draping, in both New Zealand and London and worked in fashion and footwear retail.
It was after her time in London that she was re-inspired to pursue her interest in fashion design, and to take the plunge - creating her own fashion label. She is currently working in IT in education, whilst establishing her label on the side. Jenna will keep you updated with happenings in the fashion industry around Australasia and other things she thinks of interest.

Today I read about the world's first carbon footprint labelling system, and it's really got me thinking, not only about the environment (on a global scale), but also its long term effect on other areas, including the fashion industry.
New Zealand supermodel, Rachel Hunter, is adding yet another string to her bow. She's just joined forces with a huge New Zealand department store, The Warehouse, to design a self-titled clothing range, 'Rachel'.
Today I spent my lunch hour shopping. Yes, shopping - and I really shouldn't have. The problem with me and shops is that I just CAN'T leave empty handed.
The snow has been making winter fun, but the cold is not so great. Whilst looking for new additions to my winter wardrobe during my travels around the South Island of New Zealand, I've noticed a new trend, garments made from merino/possum mixes.
