As the saying goes… “Where there is smoke, there is fire” and where there is fashion, there is Anne Look.
Not only can you see her at every London Fashion Week show, industry event and party, but now you can catch up with FBC member Anne Look on her blog ‘Stylist and The City’ -http://annelook.blogspot.com/
Q: State your name and purpose:
A: Miss Anne Elizabeth Look
Title - hhmmm, Fashion stylist and blogger of ‘Stylist and the City’(for the minute!).
Q: Why did you join FBC?
A: A year ago now…I met the adorable Courtney Blackman of Forward PR for a shoot and the rest, as they say….is history. I was finding my feet in the fashion Industry in London and the FBC sounded like an opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow fashion-career minded individuals.
Q: Your biggest attribute to FBC is:
A: My current ability to split myself into thousands of tiny pieces and be everywhere and anywhere fashion is happening.
Q: Being an FBC member, my favorite perk is:
A: All the fabulous creatives and liberating people we get to meet and work with through networking at FBC events.
Q: So far, my favorite FBC meeting was:
A: Vogue interviewing Vogue. I had no idea just how real and down to earth Alexandra Shulman really is.
Q: How has FBC given you the platform to grow as a business?
A: Exposure. FBC is very supportive of their members and also very aware of the work it takes to remain within the industry.
Q: How is networking important in your job/ industry?
A: Networking is WHY we are in the business to begin with. I love the different energies that creatives have and it’s infectious. You want to surround yourself with good energy…some of my dearest friends have come
from fashion and networking.
Q: Tell us about a connection you made while networking through FBC.
A: I have worked with Sapphires Model Management (FBC members) and Harvey Nichols for a charity catwalk show which was brilliant fun and a great
success!
Q: Do you have any exciting upcoming projects you’re working on you can give us a sneak peak at?
A: I’m currently trying my hand in the ‘Buying’ world with an internship at Harrods. I’m also about to work on a shoot with fellow FBC member and photographer Dave Wise. There are various other things as well but you’ll have to ask me a few weeks down the track….
Q: I’m really looking forward to hearing Jonathan Saunders interviewed by Dolly Jones at the next FBC meeting on November 26 because:
A: Jonathan Saunders is like your cheeky younger brother! He has a way of cutting through the falseness, telling it how it is and in turn, leaves you feeling like anything is possible.
Q: Enlighten us- Anything else you’d like to share?
A: Go out on a limb, that’s where the fruit is!
