It is time to check out the market and for further motivation check out what’s left over in your closet! As you totter around your favourite shops it is time to Coat Watch and make a decision…to tweed or not to tweed that is the question! Remember Coco Chanel said” Fashion is made to become unfashionable” and on this our industry was built!
With the buying season in full swing and Fashion Week just around the corner I was pleased to meet up with Dickon Galloway, event supremo and friend to the stars, and tour his fabulous venue Dreamvault www.dreamvault.co.uk where, amongst many other things, the Drapers Great British Fashion Party will be held in October. Do check it out and dare I say…. with Christmas coming up Dreamvault could be the answer to that time old question!

Following the theme of planning I met with Lisa Tse the designer and entrepreneur: www.lisatse.com at one of her design projects the Mews on Mayfair restaurant www.mayfair.com (an absolutely fab menu with a great credit crunch lunch too!) . Among other things Lisa is planning to launch The Sorority www.thesorority.org a private business club aimed at bringing together inspiring women…more about that later this year.

And whilst the calendar is open do remember the fabulous Vogue “Fashion Night Out” taking place in Bond St and the surrounding streets on Thursday 10th September..free champagne with masses of great entertainment and events. Stores will be open until midnight in some cases and there is a Vogue photo shoot taking place in Chanel for instance!
BKS: With tired feet at the end of a long buying day or just before that all important Paris trip pop into The Champagne and Oyster bar at The St Pancras Grand. Between 5-7 pm they offer complimentary oysters when you purchase a glass of wine or champagne. Gorgeous Indie and Hamid are looking forward to seeing you there! www.stpancrasgrand.com
