Being a guinea pig for Fashion East at Somerset House was an interesting way to start the fourth day of LFW!
Mark Hislop Commercial Director needed a pair of heels (with legs attached) to check out the terrain for tomorrow’s fabulous Fashion East show at 13.15 on Tuesday 22nd September www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/designers_details.asp
I, of course, put my best foot forward and tottered along!`
The show will be held in one of the Lightwell’s, these are the spaces between the elevated courtyard and the main buildings, and this specific one is on the East side of the main tent. The transformation from chaos to catwalk is already taking place and as you also see a clear roof has been constructed just in case the fabulous weather LFW has so far enjoyed suddenly breaks!`

The Press will be situated at the far end by the railing. Modelled by Mark himself!

The real models will walk along the passageway and past the Coal Houses whilst 250 of Fashions great and good look on!

On 23rd September the Coal Houses will be taken over by several fabulous menswear brands who will profile their collections in this amazing space!
Later on the party will be held in the aptly named “Dead House”, so called because grave stones have been found embedded in the walls, this space has already been used for the filming of Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film Sherlock Holmes and also has been used for ‘1939’ by Stephen Poliakoff.
Verdict Time…Could I walk the walk in my 12 cm heels on the rough Lightwell catwalk?…. YES.!!….
It was thumbs up!! And feeling faintly saint-like I let Mark treat me to a coffee…whilst bathing my blisters…

BKS: Allegedly Victoria Beckham will be attending tomorrow’s show…SH refused to comment!
