Victoria Beckham...grateful?

Well certainly having road tested the Somerset House walkway’s for her last week I was pleased she made an appearance at the Fashion East show(see last week’s BKS)!!

Among the wonderful events of Fashion Week Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED hosted a fantastic evening  in their cool lounge above the store in Gt Marlborough St. DJ Jerry Bouthier played whilst we viewed the latest static fashion Exhibition which is on until October.  Swarovski sponsored designers were shown on the big screen and we rubbed shoulders with mannequins dressed in looks by Giles Deacon, Erdem and Henry Holland to name a few.. do check out the store for those must have pieces… www.swarovski-crystallized.com

Menswear’s day was a whirlwind of activity but one highlight was afternoon tea at 16 Savile Row where proprietor Patrick Grant launched his E.Tautz Spring 10 collection. Sam Bradshaw, Sales and Merchandise Director, showed us a short film previewing the range and we were all thrilled by what we saw! The fantastic FBC (Fashion Business Club) www.fashionbusinessclub.net  hosted a great afternoon at Il Bottaccio www.bottaccio.co.uk  on Thursday.  Michael Herz, Aquascutum’s head of womenswear, interviewed guest speaker Nathan Jenden (who is not only creative director of Diane von Furstenberg but has his own stunning label). It was a free and frank exchange and though we learnt a lot we laughed out loud too! Keep your diary free for the next FBC!
