It determines the way we shop and more importantly where we shop. I’ve picked out some great online stores for five of Mary’s shopping tribes; Fashionistas, Miss Vintage, The Bag Hag, the Bargianista and the Label Lover.
Fashionista
Oli - Shopping and trends news, what more could a fashionista want?
Miss Vintage
Absolute Vintage - is one of, if not the, best vintage stores in London. If you can’t make it to the store, buy online.
The Bag Hag
Being seen with the right shopping bag is all part of the process for the Bag Hag. Order from NET-A-PORTER and get it delivered to work (make sure anyone and everyone sees it). Same effect, less effort!
Bargainista
It’s got to be New Look for the bargainista.
Label Lover
For lovers of labels it’s got to be koodos.

Most new and existing retailers don’t understand is the market. I was brought up on the principle of you find out what your customer wants and sell it to them at profit.People enter retail because they think it is a good idea and it looks easy they see people behind a counter and think I have good taste in clothes I like to buy thing for myself, family I can be successful, what they don’t realise that a good retailer know their market and more importantly be profitable! My 30 years of retail experience says you cant plan enough as the saying goes “failing to plan is planning to fail” its not just good ideas that make a business work its all in the preparation
