When: Thursday 4th November 2010
Where: LUKE shop, Arndale Center, Manchester
What we ate and Drank: Peroni - No food
Thursday night is the night for fashion events in Manchester and last Thursday was no exception. So after having a quick civilised drink at House Of Fraser 175th birthday we headed over to Manchester Arndale, for the Luke store launch.
Late (as ever) we were greeted by a big red carpet and a sea of people.
As the 1,000+ square foot store was a wash with industry faces, Manchester influencers, and celebrities.
The stores slick and well designed concept with black and monochrome fixtures and fittings, set the tone for what can be described as one of Manchester best impacted store launches of 2010.
And of course the beer thrown into big buckets of ice on a help yourself kind of style, helped to keep spirits high. No food unfortunately, but the celebrity spotting of Brandon Block soon turned our attention away from our grumbling bellies and into hysterics of nostalgia.
After two hours of chit chat and boozing, sweaty- but merry faces emerged from the store and headed on down to Sugar Budda on Manchesters Deansgate Locks, for Luke’s after party.
Unfortunately our experience ended there (it was a school night) as we happily dragged our content selves home, goody bag in tow - which I have to say has been the best goody bag of 2010!
Congratulations to Luke for a great store opening!
