As with all our collections this one began with the title. The phrase 'Saint Valentine's Day Massacre' seemed to accurately depict the average experience of Saint Valentine's Day, a horrendous commercial comedy of frantic disappointments and inadequate last minute romantic bribes that do little to promote the notion of Love.
It's more important to us to prize this sentiment throughout the year than cram it into one hysterical day.
Similar to Christmas, Valentine's becomes a day that tends to highlight our inadequacies rather than celebrate the noble sentiments it's intended to promote.
Taking our lead from Al Capone and given the competitive nature of Valentine's we wondered if the Aganovich woman would really sit around waiting for that bouquet of flowers or box of chocolates or would she get out there and make damn sure she was the most desirable woman?
