Qasimi launch their directional luxury label during AW08 London Fashion Week.
The talented design duo behind Qasimi are architecturally trained H. H. Khalid bin Sultan AlQasimi and Elliott J. Frieze, previously at Michiko Koshino. Together they have created a collection of intellectual depth and timeless sophistication.
The collection of over 40 looks encompass both men‚s and women‚s wear. The Qasimi womenswear collection focuses on advanced tailoring and bold avant-garde shapes. The structured pieces include tailored tuxedos with bold box pleating and jackets with an elongated conceptual lapel drape. Shirts with over 30 hand stitched natural horn buttons are worn inside fitted pure cashmere jackets.
The showpiece of the collection is the Vicuna/silk cashmere kimono, lined with Orylag which presents the ultimate in luxury and retails for £10,000.
