House of Fraser is to introduce a new staff bonus scheme, which will net its store staff the equivalent of four weeks pay if it hits profit targets this year.
House of Fraser's staff bonus pot would more than trebly to £6 million. The department store emplys 10,000 staff.
The new bonus scheme comes hot on the heels of a fantastic performance by John Lewis, which netted its staff a bonus payment equivalent to 20% of salary or 10 weeks pay last week.
House of Fraser opened its first new concept store in Belfast's Victoria Square development last week. The 200,000sq ft marks the first new opening under chief executive John King, who is leading a repositioning of the department store chain upmarket.
