EXCLUSIVE: Alexa Chung unveiled as creative director and face of Superga SS12 campaign

Italian plimsoll brand Superga has unveiled model and presenter Alexa Chung as the creative director and face of its spring 12 campaign.

It’s the first time that Chung, who also fronted Superga’s spring 11 centenary campaign in April last year, has worked as both creative director for the shoot and also starred in a campaign for the brand.

Chung was given free reign to style the shoot, shot by photographer Guy Aroch, and she teamed Superga’s iconic 2750 sneakers with outfits of her choice.

Superga was founded after Walter Martiny, an Italian tyre manufacturer, turned his hand to vulcanised footwear.

The brand is sold in the UK via the Superga standalone retail store in London’s Covent Garden and in 80 UK and RoI wholesale stockists including Soletrader and Schuh. It is best known for its classic canvas 2750 style, which retails for around £40.
