Fashion Fringe, the competition which spots up and coming design talent, has extended its reach to take in rising talent in the footwear sector.
Now in its fourth year, Fashion Fringe has launched the competition extension in association with footwear designer Rupert Sanderson.
The prize for the winning footwear designer will include a paid working apprenticeship of up to 10 months including a month working at Rupert Sanderson's factory in Italy. The prize is designed to give the winner a complete overview of the luxury shoe business.
As with the existing clothing competition, designers should apply via the Fashion Fringe website at www.fashionfringe.co.uk and submissions can be made between May 5 and June 13.
Five finalists will be selected to attend an interview with the judging panel, which will be chaired by Manolo Blahnik, on June 23.
The winner will be announced on June 24.
