Brand Alley bolsters buying team

Discount etailer Brand Alley has bolstered its buying team to help it expand its brand offer by up to four times.
Brand Alley has appointed David Singleton, former head of menswear at Ted Baker as a buyer; Alex summers, former buyer at Harrods and Tony Cardoso, former sales manager at Gorland Group have also joined as buyers.
Brand Alley has also appointed two assistant buyers, and plans to recruit a further four buyers by the end of the year.
Brand Alley's director of sales and merchandising Bunty Stokes said: "We're investing in a new, enlarged team to grow key areas of the business according to sales. We want to offer customers a full range and breadth of product."
Brand Alley, which launched in the UK last year, is a private members clearance website. It hosts daily special Sales with discounts of up to 70% on a variety of brands including Cavalli handbags, Pink Soda and Goldhawk.
