White City lures overseas chains

Italian menswear brand David Mayer and Turkish womenswear brand Ipekyol are lining up to lead a charge of international entrants to the UK at the Westfield London scheme this autumn.
Irish fashion chain A-Wear, Turkish fashion business Desa, lingerie business Yamamay, Australian designer brand Leona Edmiston and hosiery firm Hue are also in talks to take units.
Abercrombie & Fitch's sister chain Hollister and French chain Etincelle are also expected to sign up, as well as other international businesses including Cos, which is owned by H&M, and Spanish brand Desigual. Both debuted on London's Regent Street last year.
The Westfield London development, which is due to open in October, is also understood to be in talks with a host of luxury fashion brands including Prada and Burberry to join Louis Vuitton in the scheme's luxury village.
Westfield London is due to open on October 30.
David Mayer
David Mayer is an Italian menswear brand which features casual and formal collections including suiting. It has several stores in Italy as well as shops in Belgium, Cyprus and Greece. The brand also wholesales and shows at Bread & Butter Barcelona.
Desa
Desa is a Turkish leather brand designed to appeal to the over 25s. It sells leather jackets, accessories, handbags and footwear. In addition to opening in Westfield London, it is expected to sign a site in High Street Kensington.Desa also supplies jackets to Debenhams and Marks & Spencer. It also supplies Nicole Farhi and Mulberry. Desa has 52 stores in Turkey.
Ipekyol
Ipekyol is a womenswear brand and is similar in style to French Connection , Reiss and Karen Millen. The business originally started as a supplier to the high street but now has more than 70 of its own stores and 100 shop in shops in department stores around the world. It is aimed at the over 25s.
Yamamay
Italian lingerie chain that focuses on fashion styles for a broad spectrum of women. The business was founded in 2001 and already has a network of 400 stores globally. It also sells men's and children's underwear as well as nightwear and beachwear.
