The founding family members of Moss Bros are launching an upmarket menswear concept in London called Centanni.
Nigel Gee and Michael Gee will open the 3,000sq ft shop in Jubilee Place, at Canary Wharf in east London, in August. It will sell premium men's tailoring from brands including Canali, Brioni and Façonnable.
The business will also sell its Centanni own label, which will provide the store's entry price point, with suits retailing at between £399 and £450. The business will also provide a made-to-measure service.
Nigel Gee said there was a gap in the market to provide top-quality brands with a high level of customer service, and to take the Bond Street experience to London's Docklands.
He said: "City Airport is here and there are a lot of banks, law firms and other businesses. The store will offer clothes to executives up to directors and partners in a modern, but elegant, environment. We want people to get the same experience as they would at Harrods, Selfridges, or on Bond Street.
"There will be an alterations service as well as high-quality customer service."
Nigel Gee left his position as managing director of Moss Bros's fashion division in 2000, but the Gee family still retains a share in the business.
