JD: Sports Direct raised stake in January

Sports Direct has increased its stake in the John David Group, which runs the JD sports chain, to more than 12%.

Sports Direct, owned by Mike Ashley, has pushed up its holding in the group to 12.24%. Sports Direct increased its stake in the group to more than 11% earlier this year.
