White City is still under construction but due to open in October

Westfield London has signed a raft of stores for the launch of the White City development in west London on October 30.

Around 120 stores have signed up, with a further 120 at legal stages, according to developer Westfield.

Retailers including Reiss and Ted Baker will open in the scheme's upmarket area, while G-Star and All Saints will occupy a young fashion zone. High street retailers Topshop and River Island have signed stores, and Inditex is in talks to open all five of its UK fascias: Zara, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear and Zara Home.

Abercrombie & Fitch is also thought to be in talks to sign a store for its Hollister chain.

Other retailers that have been linked to the scheme's luxury zone include Prada, Burberry, Church's, Gucci and designer independent Matches' diffusion store Spy.

Westfield head of leasing David Slade said the scheme was on track to open in October. "We could open in July half-full, but we want everyone to be trading."
