Matt Hudson, former Marks & Spencer director, has been appointed managing director of Monsoon, as predicted by Drapers (March 1).

Hudson was previously at M&S, where he was trading director for womenswear, lingerie and girlswear. Hudson will oversee the entire Monsoon brand.

Separately, Monsoon said it was also searching for a managing director for Accessorize - a newly created role. The Accessorize boss, together with Hudson and chief commercial officer Steve Back, will form the executive team that will lead Monsoon and Accessorize through the next stage of their development.
