Debenhams is on track to double its international sales in the next four years, and has major expansion plans in the Indian and Russian markets, according to The Independent.
Debenhams' 43 international franchise stores are on target to hit the £280 million sales target for the financial year to August.
In four years' time, Debenhams has set itself a overseas sales target of £600m, which will come from 90 department stores in markets such as India, Russia and central and southern European countries such as Greece, Poland, and the Baltics.
Debenhams's long term overseas expansion plans include entering China, Pakistan, Brazil and Canada.
