Mothercare has appointed Richard Rivers as non-executive director

Mothercare has appointed Richard Rivers as a non-executive director.

Rivers will join the Mothercare board on July 17.        

Rivers is group head of strategy and chief of staff at Unilever. He is also chairman of Unilever's Corporate Ventures Group.        

Mothercare chairman Ian Peacock said: "I am delighted to welcome Richard to the board of Mothercare. Richard has considerable international brand, strategic and business development expertise which will be a real asset to Mothercare as it continues the development of its global reach through its Early Learning Centre and Mothercare brands."
