The Observer, The Mail on Sunday and The Independent on Sunday all reported that Marks & Spencer was set to report a fall in like-for-like sales of more than 6%in a trading update this week.
The Observer added that around a third would be wiped off profits, and that criticism of the retailer was increasing in the City.
The Independent on Sunday reported that Ted Baker's first half results are likely to be down but better than many of its rivals.
The Mail on Sunday said that Mosaic, which owns high street chains Oasis, Warehouse and Karen Millen, is expected to buck the fashion sales trend this week, with an increase in profit before interest, tax and other charges, for the first half of the year.
It says that international expansion has boosted performance, with Karen Millen expected to draw more sales in Russia than in London by the end of the year.
The Sunday Times reported that eyewear manufacturer Fabris Lane has appointed Price Waterhouse Coopers to carry out a strategic review of the business. It reported that the Surrey-based company was not for sale but that it could look for investment to help expand the business.
