Derek Lovelock steps down as chairman at Jacques Vert

Derek Lovelock has stepped down from his position as non-executive chairman at Jacques Vert to focus on his role as chief executive at Mosaic Fashions.
Lovelock has been on the board at Jacques Vert for five years will be replaced by Steve Bodger, who was already a non-executive director at the womenswear business.
Lovelock, whose resignation is effective from November 1, said: "I am sorry to be leaving the Jacques Vert Board after five very enjoyable years, however, my other business commitments have grown to the extent that I am no longer able to devote the necessary time to the group. I wish them all the very best for the future".
Since Lovelock began his tenure at Jacques Vert in 2002, Mosaic Fashions has grown from the buy-out of Oasis Stores in 2001, to a portfolio of eight fashion brands with over 1,900 stores and concessions worldwide. Last year it added Rubicon Retail comprising the Principles, Shoe Studio and Warehouse brands to its stable. Lovelock has been focusing on the integration of the businesses for the last 12 months.
Paul Allen chief executive of Jacques Vert said "On behalf of everyone at Jacques Vert I would like to thank Derek for the tremendous contribution he has made since joining our board and especially for his leadership as chairman over the period since the acquisition of William Baird. We have made great progress on a number of fronts and Derek has played an important part in these achievements".
