Menswear sales up at John Lewis

Branded men's casualwear continued to sell well for the second week in a row, according to the latest figures from John Lewis.
In the week to October 20, overall sales at John Lewis were flat, but sales for men's, leisure and beauty grew of 3.6%.
The womenswear category fared worse, with sales down 2.8% in the same period.
John Lewis reported another quiet weekend for the second consecutive week, with sales down 8% on Saturday, mainly a result of good weather and sporting events.
