Mosaic wins lawsuit against Dunnes

Mosaic Fashions has won a legal case against Irish department store chain Dunnes Stores which it accused of copying its designs.

Mosaic was awarded an undisclosed sum for copyright infringement on some of its Karen Millen products.

Mosaic Fashions said in a statement: "Mosaic Fashions pursued this case to protect the integrity of designs and the creations of talented designers and the group is delighted with the judgement handed down today by the court and believes it upholds the rights of fashion designers everywhere in the EU."

Mosaic is donating a substantial amount of the cash awarded to it to the Marie Keating Foundation in aid of breast cancer awareness.
