Shoefayre boss to join TK Maxx

...

Shoefayre managing director Lyle Findlay is moving to TK Maxx to take over as senior vice president for UK retail.

Findlay is currently winding down his role at the discount footwear chain, owned by Co-operative Group, and will make the move next month. Former Shoefayre finance, IT and logistics director Simon Palmer will take the helm at the group.

Palmer, who has been at Shoefayre for a year, said the business was midway through a two-year turnaround, pulling out of loss-making stores and strengthening its 280-store portfolio. "We are already seeing green shoots of recovery," he said. "We have a new management team in place and are running at full senior team strength."

The retailer has also recruited Savina Barnes as head of buying, merchandising and design. She joins from Primark.

- Priceless buying director Richard Bower is understood to be joining footwear chain Dolcis as buying director. The senior team is now running at full strength after a series of hirings by new owner John Kinnaird. Dolcis was unavailable for comment.
