Topshop has been forced to withdraw more than 1,000 dresses after luxury brand Chloe threatened it with legal action over plagiarism, according to law firm Shoosmiths, which advised Chloe. Partner Gary Assim said Topshop was forced to pay tens of thousands of pounds in compensation and legal costs and withdraw a £35 yellow dress, after Chloe argued that it was almost identical to a £185 See by Chloe dress. Topshop was unavailable for comment.
