Roger Parr, the former Stead & Simpson buying director, is to join Stylo as women's buying director for Barratts while Dolcis buying director Richard Bower will take the position of merchandise director at the chain.
These are the latest in a raft of appointments at Barratts, which is owned by Stylo. In the last few months Stylo chairman and chief executive Michael Ziff has drafted in Richard Wharton the co-founder of Office to radically overhaul the Barratts business as well as bringing in former Stead & Simpson chief executive David Lockyer as non-executive director and former Office buying director Lynsey Hand to consult on women's product.
The team are preparing to revamp and refocus the chain away from young fashion to a "family retailer", serving kids through to pensioners.
Parr left Stead & Simpson before Christmas while Bower is understood to have already left Dolcis after it collapsed into administration last week. Bower has already worked at Stylo. He left his position as buying director of its Priceless chain in spring 2007 to join Dolcis.
