Intimas appoints new chairman

Lingerie business Intimas Group has appointed John Gibson as chairman, with immediate effect.

Gibson, who was managing director of Real Good Food Group until September 2007, replaces Michael Hobbs, after he resigned last month.

Chief executive Carol Duncumb said: "I am delighted that John has agreed to join us as chairman. He has extensive experience of managing and developing smaller companies and I am confident that this experience will be of great value to us as we strive to improve the operational efficiencies of the business."

Intimas, which owns brands including Lepel, Discover Mademoiselle and Charnos, will announce preliminary results for the year to December 31 2007, on March 28.
