Pentland Group voted best family business

Footwear and sportswear company Pentland Group has been voted one of the best UK family businesses by JP Morgan and the UK's Institute For Family Business (IFB), in the fifth annual Family Business Honours programme.
Pentland Group was judged to be outstanding in the key categories of business success and social responsibility. The awards were judged by IFB, the London Business School and the Independent Evaluation Committee at JP Morgan.
Kate Murphy, head of family business at JP Morgan, said: "Family businesses make a tremendous contribution to the economic and social fabric of the UK. Pentland Group is testament to the achievements of UK family firms and an inspiration to others."
Pentland Group chairman Stephen Rubin said: "I am delighted. The commitment to high ethical standards has long been a part of Pentland's strategy and culture and we pride ourselves on taking a long term approach."
