Farah is looking for new concession partners

Farah has appointed TBC co-founder Mark McCann as European sales manager, as part of a raft of new appointments at the menswear brand.

McCann, who co-founded streetwear show TBC and sales agency Brand Progression, will oversee Farah's European expansion in the newly created role.

Farah, which is owned by Perry Ellis Europe, has also appointed James Pearce-Roberts as head of product development and Shoefayre's Mike Popple as retail operations manager.

Pearce-Roberts previously worked at USC and Asos. He has been charged with driving revenues via Farah's concessions, developing shop-in-shops and launching new online initiatives. Popple will be responsible for European retail operations and will also look to develop new concession partnerships.

The appointments follow the retirement of Perry Ellis Europe managing director Peter Abbiss after nine years at the firm. Abbiss was responsible for growing Farah's distribution and extensions into the Farah Vintage and Farah Golf lines.

Pearce-Roberts said: "Farah is a well-established brand and with Farah Slacks and Leisurewear we can bring that heritage to a new demographic."

Perry Ellis Europe owns or licenses a number of brands including Original Penguin. Pearce-Roberts was placed by Recruitment firm Hudson Walker International.
