Knitwear specialist Peter Scott has launched a complete menswear collection for spring 09. Manufactured in England and finished by hand, the collection includes jackets, trousers, polo shirts, knits, and footwear.
Peter Scott's managing director Ken Pasternak said: "We believe there is a growing appetite for clothing made from quality fabrics by premium brands which treat their workforce fairly.
"Consumers are already moving away from top-end brands which carry 'Made in Vietnam' labels. Soon they will no longer be prepared to pay £200 for a product made of fibres treated with unknown chemicals and manufactured in unknown factories."
Pasternak said the range targets men in their late 20s and sits alongside Gant and Polo Ralph Lauren.
The collection has two themes. The first, Maritime, works from a white and navy palette with lichen and red highlights. The second exploits the trend for brighter colours with a focus on vibrant shades. Prices range from £21 for cotton polo shirts to £135 for 2sb tailored jackets.
The brand is also planning to launch a complete womenswear collection for autumn 09. Call 01450 372311 for more information.
