Whistles' chief executive Jane Shepherdson is taking the brand back to its roots

Whistles has relaunched its website following a brand overhaul by new chief executive and former Topshop brand director Jane Shepherdson.

The new Whistles website features style tips, outfit suggestions and zoom-in functions, alongside pieces from Whistles' new "pared down" collection for autumn 08.

In a statement on its new website, Whistles says it aims to return to its roots as an innovative, independent fashion boutique by drawing on the brand's heritage. It reads, "We aim to create something unique for the woman who loves great design, isn't scared of a little edginess and who wants to reference but not slavishly follow trends."

Whistles said that the new website did not reflect its new positioning completely and that there would be more developments at a later date.

Whistles, originally founded by Lucille Lewin and Richard Lewin more than 30 years ago, has 40 standalone stores, and 40 concessions across the UK and Ireland. It also has five franchise stores in the Middle East and Denmark.
