Harvey Nichols will open its sixth UK store in Bristol at the end of September.

Harvey Nichols said the 35,000sq ft store, which is split over three floors, has been designed by architect Christian Biecher.

The Harvey Nichols Bristol store will feature a bespoke design with rich and varying wall surfaces which feature a mixture of textures and tones and use reflections and patterns to fuse various departments within the store.

An intricately decorated black chrome cut-out screen will form a vertical back drop to the central escalators and will be the centre piece of the store.

Harvey Nichols said all of its floors would have suspended ceilings with indirectly lit linear lighting and two-tone natural stone floor tiling.

I think Harvey Nichols will do fine in Bristol. It's the UK’s 8th largest city with 3.61 million catchment population within a 60-minute drive time. Most importnantly for Harvey Nichols it has the highest proportion of ABC1’s outside London and the highest GDP growth outside London too.

Bristol is a top 5 provincial office market, employing 230,000 people and 2 universities with a large student population. When Cabot Circus opens they predict Bristol will become a top ten UK shopping destination.

In summary Bristol has a large population of affluent middle class shoppers, exactly what Harvey Nichols will thrive on!

Wow. Looks interesting. What do we think about harvey nicks in bristol though? Premium/designer labels, premium/designer retail. Will it work in Bristol?
