American Apparel to open London flagship

US casualwear retailer American Apparel will open a flagship store in London's Kensington High Street in June. The shop will be next to Urban Outfitters in a unit previously occupied by Shellys, and will be the business's biggest UK store at 3,500 sq ft. A store is planned for the Liverpool One scheme next year and sites in Brighton and Glasgow are also being sought. American Apparel has three company-owned stores in the UK, in London's Carnaby Street, Portobello Road and Shoreditch.
