Young fashion brand Bellfield has set its sights on international expansion after raking in £4m in the UK this year.
Germany, Greece and Scandinavia are the main European targets following meetings with key agents and distributors at streetwear trade show Bread and Butter in July. Bellfield then plans to look further afield to Australia, Canada, China, India, Korea, the Middle East and the US.
Sales manager Daniel Crews said: “Emulating the UK launch and keeping the high standard of distribution network already in place is going to be the key to Bellfield’s future growth.”
Under agent Juls Dawson of Just Consultancies, the brand has enjoyed a “superb autumn” in the UK and Ireland and is on target for £4m worth of sales.
Dawson said this was thanks to “the addition of ladieswear this season, and the seismic shift in the buying patterns of branded retailers to short order, coupled with the fact the brand offers a minimum three-times mark-up together with high street price points”.
The menswear range, which launched in spring 12, has 150 UK stockists including Selfridges, Asos, and young fashion indies Accent in Leeds and Richmond Classics in Bournemouth.
