Exclusive: Showroom heralds UK push for Highline United

  • Comment

German distributor and licensee Highline United will open its first dedicated British showroom in January as it looks to ramp up its UK presence.

The business distributes footwear brands including Julian Hakes, Jean-Michel Cazabat and Luxury Rebel, and has the licence to design and distribute French Connection footwear.

It plans to grow significantly in the UK and expects to take on more brands over the next few months, although no details are available at this stage.

Daniela D’Aveni, former UK sales director at Sixty Group, has been appointed to the new role of UK sales director as a result of the expansion.

D’Aveni, who left Sixty Group earlier this month, has already started with Highline United and will be responsible for growing the business from its new showroom on Rochester Place in Camden, where she will be based from January.

“The business is growing rapidly and so the company needed someone to manage wholesale,” D’Aveni said.

“I will oversee all of the UK accounts for all of Highline’s brands as well as looking after the international franchise operation.”

Previously, Highline United managed its UK business via a network of sales agents, some of which will continue to work with the distributor.
