Clarks calls time on Ravel after 40 years
Ravel has been given the boot by owner Clarks after more than 40 years on the UK high street. It is to close its 50 stores after failing to turn round persistent poor trading. Clarks will absorb any potentially profitable stores into the main chain and will sell remaining outlets, but aims to keep shops open until all stock has been sold.
