Clarks to pep up profits with overseas push
Clarks is to embark on an international roll-out to help stem falling UK profits, according to reports. The group is planning a 450-store global assault over the next 10 years, and aims to have as many shops abroad as it does in the UK. The initial push will be in Europe, in what is believed to be a franchise-led strategy. This will be followed by a US push, where Clarks currently has 210 stores.
