My-Wardrobe appoints new fashion director

  • Comment’s buying and merchandising director Luisa De Paula is to leave the premium etailer after five years in the role with her position set to be filled by a new fashion director.

De Paula will be replaced by Carmen Borgonovo, former senior style editor of British Harper’s Bazaar, who will join as fashion director in January.

Borgonovo, who has worked at Harper’s Bazaar for four years, will lead the buying team overseeing the buying strategy and product development. With a focus on international expansion, Borgonovo will play a pivotal role in sourcing new international designers for the etailer.

She will report into chief executive David Worby and lead a team of three including womenswear buying manager Eleanor Robinson, womenswear buyer Georgina Coulter and buying assistant Jennifer Bishop.

Worby said: “Through Carmen’s years of experience as an editor and with her excellent eye for style and design talent, I believe she can bring a new direction for the product offer.”
