Fashion Fringe, the competition to support up-and-coming British design talent, is open for entries for its 2011 programme.
Designers must submit their entries before May 4 and a shortlist of three designers will be announced shortly after. The three designers will then showcase their first collection at London Fashion Week in September this year before the winner is chosen by a judging panel.
Fashion Fringe is an annual competition set up in 2003 to support up and coming British and Irish design talent. The winner will receive a two year development package, which includes a mixture of cash, business advice, mentoring and an equipped studio at Somerset House, to set up and sustain their business.
Previous winners of Fashion Fringe have included Erdem, Basso & Brooke, Jena.Theo and Eun Jeong Hong.
The judging panel this year includes model Claudia Schiffer, fashion designer Roland Mouret, Anne Pitcher, managing director of Selfridges, Roy Peach, dean of graduate school at the London College of Fashion and Bel Jacobs, editor for fashion and beauty at the Metro.
Logistics provider DHL will sponsor Fashion Fringe.
