Icelandic investor Baugur has created a joint venture called Arctic with a licensing partner to expand into Germany, according to The Sunday Telegraph. Baugur, which owns House of Fraser, Karen Millen, Oasis and Principles, is planning 300 concessions in the country for its brands.
Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley has denied to The Sunday Times that he intends to buy back the remaining shares in the company which he does not own. It follows after rumours that Ashley wants to take the company private again following its poor performance on the stock market.
Agent Provocateur director Gary Hogarth is understood to be suing the lingerie business for £2.4 million, according to The Mail on Sunday. Hogarth claims that personal difficulties between founders Serena Rees and Joe Corres, caused him to miss out on share options worth 7% of the company.
