Contemporary womenswear independent FrostFrench will open its second shop next year, ahead of plans for further expansion.
FrostFrench, founded by celebrity designers Sadie Frost and Jemima French, opened its first store in September in Islington, north London, and will unveil its second on London's King's Road in March. The 1,500sq ft shop follows the opening of two pop-up shops last month in London's West End, in Foubert's Place and Burlington Arcade, which will remain open until at least February.
The retailer hopes to open at least one other shop next year and is considering locations outside London.
Managing director Sharon O'Connor said she opted for the King's Road location to widen FrostFrench's presence across London.
"We've chosen King's Road because our research has indicated it's an excellent position for the label, with a good level of footfall," she said. "The Islington store has been a great success, with impressive trading in store, as well as via the new ecommerce website," she said.
The new store will carry the same FrostFrench collections as the Islington flagship, including jewellery labels Eat Your Feet and Zoe & Morgan and vintage clothing brand Shikasuki.
FrostFrench's 185-piece range for spring 08 is called Summer Number, inspired by the 1960s and rock star David Bowie's late 1970s Ziggy Stardust persona. The collection includes boyish tailored jackets and pencil skirts.
The brand's lingerie label Floosie is still part of the Designers At Debenhams stable, although it axed its wholesale business earlier this year.
