The UK's main streetwear show, To Be Confirmed, has been taken over by Idex Media, the organiser of discount fashion event Off-Price Show.

Mark McCann and Mark Batista, who founded TBC in 2001, will remain as creative directors, but day-to-day running will be handled by Idex, which has taken a majority stake in the show.

McCann said Idex would help to further establish TBC as an "essential international casualwear show".

He added: "We welcome the professionalism, infrastructure and sales expertisethat Idex will be able to bring to TBC. All of this, as well as their extensive European buyer, press and media contacts, will help forge a relationship between our two companies that we can see becoming a huge benefit to this sector of the market."

Idex director Buzz Carter said: "We've always admired TBC as an innovative and respected directional show for contemporary menswear and footwear brands. We are confident that with our combined talents, ideas and enthusiasm, we can increase TBC's presence and build on its strong reputation."

The next edition of TBC will take place on February 10-11 at The Old Truman Brewery in east London.
