Austin Reed to open private members club

Menswear chain Austin Reed is to launch a private members club called The Q Club, based in its Regent Street store, as part of celebrations for its 110 year anniversary.

The Q Club will open to customers throughout the UK this month, with a dedicated clubhouse on the third floor of its flagship Regent Street store.

Four sportsmen will be the faces of the new club; England cricket captain Andrew Strauss, England Cricket vice captain Alastair Cook, Bath rugby captain Lewis Moody and British rugby player Courtney Lawes.

The club includes sofas, a bar, Sky Sports on high definition TVs, wireless internet and a concierge service. Club membership will include access to Q Bespoke, Austin Reed’s new made-to-measure service, Q Hirewear, its premium formal hire service and Q Corporate, the retailer’s corporate arm.

Membership is £275 per annum and by invitation or referral only. Each applicant will be reviewed by a Q Club committee.

Austin Reed chief executive Nick Hollingworth said: “Austin Reed has enjoyed 110 years of dressing for success. The Q Club enables Austin Reed to reach new levels of service, providing unparalleled benefits to our customers.”
