Topshop Oxford Circus in swine flu alert

Staff at the Topshop flagship store on Oxford Street have been put on alert after a shop worker contracted the swine flu virus.

The infected employee has not worked at the store for nine days, but staff at the store, which attracts about 200,000 customers a week, are being told to be on alert for any sign of the virus spreading.

A Topshop spokeswoman said: ”We have not been notified of any new cases in the nine days since this matter came to light. We have sought proper medical advice and we briefed our staff last Thursday.”
