Retailers fool the public over waist sizes
High-street stores including Gap, H&M and Zara have been confusing UK customers into thinking their waistlines are an average 3in slimmer by understating the sizes on trouser labels, according to The Sunday Times. It claimed the actual size of jeans sold by French Connection was 6in over the stated measurement. The named retailers denied practising 'vanity-sizing'.
