Xmas Sale watch: Number of Sales doubles says Patonz

The number of retailers on Sale has doubled against last week according to Patonz, the retail networking association.

According to Patonz, fashion retailers that have already launched into full blown Sale pre-Christmas include Aldo, Ann Harvey, Blacks, Country Casuals, Dune, Ethel Austin, French Connection, Hobbs, LK Bennett, Laura Ashley, Moss Bros and Shellys.

The likes of Ann Summers, Barratts, Bhs, Burton, Debenhams, East, Gap, House of Fraser, Jaeger, Peacocks, Marks & Spencer and Scotts are discounting some of their stock but some remain full price.

Retailers still on full price last week were largely those in the luxury or premium sector including Kurt Geiger, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Joseph, Jimmy Choo, Liberty, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Russell & Bromley, Selfridges and Ted Baker. However some high street retailers have not broken ranks yet and Topman, Miss Selfridge, Jane Norman, Next, Mango and Zara.
