Elle Macpherson leaves Hot Tuna board

Hot Tuna executive director Elle Macpherson has left the board of the boardsports brand.

A statement from the company said the decision was due to "increasing time pressure from her other projects".

Macpherson, who also has a lingerie brand Elle Macpherson Intimates, is in discussions with Hot Tuna about a consultancy role to the design team led by chief executive Niels Juul, who joined in June 2007.

Juul said: "I am enthusiastic about the possibility of working with Elle on upcoming ranges, and thank her for her input and commitment to the brand up until now".

Executive chairman Ranjit Murugason will step down from his position, taking up a non-executive role.
