Republic
Republic has opened an eye-popping 7,500 sq ft store in Westfield, London. The new store fit provides a fitting backdrop to showcase Republic's branded and own brand offer which includes; Soul Cal, Miso, Crafted, G-star and Bench. The store covers two floors, with womenswear on the ground floor and menswear on the first floor. The store features raw brick, distressed timber and wooden panelled walls. Industrial metal pipes are suspended from the ceiling across both floors, and 104 mannequins adorn the store, more than in any other Republic store.
Republic brand manager Guy Daltry said: "The idea of the store is luxuriously raw." Each brand has its own area with a uniquely different style to the shopfit. The West Coast Californian inspired own-brand Soul Cal has a softer, surfer-style feel, which includes wooden walls and images of pebbles, juxtaposed alongside the industrial-style Bench store fit, which features grey, concrete walls and metal fence wire. The male and female changing rooms are a luxurious contrast. Menswear has the appearance of an exclusive private members' club, with old fashioned black doors on each of the changing rooms and dark wooden floors, and womenswear uses red velvet drapes on all the fitting room doors.
